In making our 2021 record Refinery, I was lucky to be able to collaborate with a lot of great players / great friends. That record was always meant to be lyrics accompanied by music, not the other way around, not an even split either. Unfortunately, by the time it was finished, I realized there was a lot of great music and great playing being hidden behind my yelping.
Reasonably Far From Residential Areas is a deconstruction and reconstruction of Refinery tracks, Refinery era demos, and related materials. It features almost all the same players, highlighting the wildest coolest sounds that felt they wanted to be heard again.
